	1HON_MEN_NEWSBB.jpg This is an 'ancient' newspaper clipping noting an Honourable Mention from the Geelong Society of Art and presented in 1978 by Charles McCubbin when I was around 22.  The next image (below) shows the likewise ancient Honourable Mention certificate.  The image that follows this is of the 'palette knife' acrylic painting I did that won the award.

	4NOR_LETTERBB.jpg The next 2 images are letters and invoices from the then editor of the publication, Australian Artists Today (Fourth Edition).  Unfortunately, after paying for my inclusion in the book (which would have featured the unsold painting entitled: FROM_BEAUTY_POINT.jpg, the second image on display in the first slide show available at the top of the sydneypaintings homepage, first link off the cab), I heard nothing from the publisher.  I heard later from his ex-wife that he had been seriously injured in a car accident.  Perhaps my fee went toward his rehabilitation?
